Though I may be one of the Outer Banks’ newest professional photographers, I am certainly not unfamiliar with the area or the art. With a camera in my hand, the beaches between Corolla and Ocracoke, NC have been home for most of my life. I tried moving away once, but I was only gone for two years before the love of these barrier islands brought me back again.
I began my passion for photography while a young teenager, shooting landscapes, particularly the incredible sunsets over the Albemarle Sound, progressing over the years to become more skilled at capturing the life and love of my friends and family. Using my love of the local beaches and my experience with the camera, this skill has evolved into a passion for candid photography. As Nathan Lawrenson Photography, I specialize in year-round, family, beach photography sessions.
I limit the number of photo sessions I book so that I can complete the editing process and deliver all photos in an incredibly short period of time. My priority is always the satisfaction of my clients.
I live with my wife, Tricia and my daughter, Gwyneth Rose (and our fawn pug and orange tabby cat) less than a mile from the Atlantic Ocean, where we spend as much time as we can playing in the sand and salt water. We love to travel, especially to France, and we are always up for a new adventure.
